After getting registered as a Seller and after making choice of Payment collection method options (To be done once after logging into "Seller dashboard" for the first time after approval of Seller's account) and after setting up "Shipping rules" as described in the Shipping rules section, you can proceed with Product Addition process.
Once Add item process is complete then the product is immediately listed on Tijarat and becomes available for buyers to view and purchase. The product listing process is designed to be straightforward and user-friendly, allowing sellers to quickly get their products online.
In the Seller Dashboard Click Add Product. This will take you to the product creation form where you can enter all the necessary details about your product. The Add Product button is prominently displayed in your seller dashboard for easy access.
You will be taken to a Add Product window where you need to fill in all the product details. The form includes several important sections that need to be completed to ensure your product is properly listed and easily discoverable by potential customers.
The product addition form includes the following key fields that need to be completed:
Basic Product Information:
- Product Title: Enter a clear, descriptive name for your product
- Product Description: Provide detailed information about the product features, benefits, and specifications
- Category Selection: Choose the most appropriate category and subcategory for your product
- Price: Set your selling price for the product
- Stock Quantity: Specify how many units you have available for sale
Product Images:
- Upload high-quality images of your product from multiple angles
- The first image will be used as the main product thumbnail
- Additional images help customers get a better view of the product
- Ensure images are clear, well-lit, and accurately represent the product
Here's an example of data that was added for a simple product like a Cricket bat: The product form would include the cricket bat's brand name, model, weight specifications, material (willow wood type), size, and any special features. The description would highlight the bat's performance characteristics, target skill level, and any certifications or approvals from cricket governing bodies.
For a cricket bat listing, you would also include:
- Weight category (2.8-3.2 lbs typically)
- Blade size and handle specifications
- Wood grade and origin
- Recommended player level (beginner, intermediate, professional)
- Any special technologies or design features
After completing all the required fields, review your product listing to ensure all information is accurate and complete. Once you're satisfied with the details, click the "Add Product" or "Publish" button to make your product live on the marketplace.
Below is an example of Adding a product where we show how to add Attributes/Specs and Product Variations. Example product are T-shirts which commonly have multiple size and color options.
When adding products with multiple variations like T-shirts, you need to set up product attributes that define the different options available. For T-shirts, common attributes include:
Size Variations:
- Small (S), Medium (M), Large (L), Extra Large (XL), XXL
- You can specify the actual measurements for each size
- Set individual stock quantities for each size
Color Variations:
- Add all available colors (Black, White, Red, Blue, etc.)
- Upload images showing the product in different colors
- Set stock levels for each color option
Material Specifications:
- Fabric type (100% Cotton, Cotton Blend, Polyester, etc.)
- Care instructions (Machine wash, Hand wash, Dry clean)
- Special features (Moisture-wicking, Anti-bacterial, etc.)
The resulting product page will show all the variations you've created, allowing customers to select their preferred size and color combination. Each variation can have its own:
- Price (if different from base price)
- Stock quantity
- SKU (Stock Keeping Unit) number
- Weight (for shipping calculations)
- Images specific to that variation
The Product Attributes tab displays all the specifications and technical details about your product in an organized format. This includes:
- Material composition
- Size charts and measurements
- Care instructions
- Country of origin
- Brand information
- Any certifications or quality standards
This attributes section helps customers make informed purchasing decisions by providing all the technical details they need to know about the product before buying.
Writing Effective Product Descriptions:
- Use clear, descriptive language that highlights benefits
- Include relevant keywords that customers might search for
- Mention any unique selling points or special features
- Be honest and accurate about product condition and specifications
Pricing Strategy:
- Research competitor prices to ensure competitive pricing
- Consider your costs including materials, labor, and shipping
- Factor in Tijarat's commission fees when setting prices
- Use psychological pricing techniques when appropriate
Inventory Management:
- Keep stock quantities updated to avoid overselling
- Set low stock alerts to remind you to reorder
- Consider seasonal demand fluctuations
- Plan for lead times when restocking products
